Once again I will attempt to write my life down and all the odd occurances. Through it all I hope you can find my twisted sense of humor somewhat...humorous. Leave me a message in my Guestbook! |

Apples + Zoolander + Cookies = Great Weekend Saturday Jenny and I headed out for some shopping about mid afternoon. We had just left Lowes (my personal heaven) and then Jenny received a call from Joel that he and the fam were going apple picking and wondered if we would like to join them (Of course we said yes!). Ok you might be wondering why I love going to the apple orchard so much. To fully appreciate it you have to understand how my brain works. Eating as many free apples as you can shove down your cracker hatch before you are done picking, paying next to nothing for the ton of apples you pick, free tractor rides, and time to hang out with friends, is what I consider a great time. After that Jenny and I said good-bye to Joel, Lara, and Hannah, and resumed our shopping endeavour. (Quick background, last weekend I received a $15 off coupon from Eddie Bauer that had no minimum buying requirement, so this Saturday Jenny and I decided to see just how much we could get with this coupon and still pay very little) So we arrived at the mall went into Eddie Bauer to see what we could find. Well to make a long story short, we ended up buying a toiletries bag for me and deck of cards with "50 things to do before you die" for Jenny. Without the coupon we would have ended up paying almost $20 for everything, but we really paid $4.50 and walked out snickering. After that Chuck and Tina called and asked us to go to Zoolander with them. Really good movie, maybe not a "must own" but still funny. So what was thought of to be a slow day of just poking around at the different shops, actually turned out to be a busy (but great) day. Sunday Jenny and I decided to make up for being so busy on Saturday and decided to have, what she calls. a couch day. I came over about noon and we ate lunch. After lunch we watched the latest happenings on the news and after they started reporting the same thing for a third time, we decided it was a good time to bake some cookies. Jenny has this "cookie gun" that you load the dough into the cylinder, squeeze the trigger, and ta-daa! you have a great looking/great tasting cookie. The recipe said that it made three dozen but as it turned out (to my delight) it actually made about six!!! So we ate cookies until we thought we'd pass out, watched prerecorded episodes of Family Guy, last Friday's episode of Dark Angel, and The Matrix. What a great feeling to be a slug for a day!!!
