Something very unusual happened to me this morning as I was heading out the door to go to school. What happened was I was closing the door and holding the screen door open with my knee while I was doing it. Somehow, I don't know if I moved or if the screen door just has it in for me, the screen door began to close, rather rapidly, and caught my big toenail. (I was wearing my Teva's so my toes were exposed to the elements.) Now I have kicked things and had a small portion of my nail go back, but this time my nail actually came half way off. Guuuuuugghhhh. I dropped as soon as it happened. The pain from that one little portion of my body was truly amazing. I looked down and I saw that it had begun to bleed. Yuck. Well, I couldn't stay home today as I had a Financial Accounting exam. So I headed out to school and whenever I stopped at a light or stop sign or anything I had to reach down and *dab-dab-dab* my injured toe with some tissue. When I got into class and started my exam I noticed that my toe had begun to bleed again. Not wanting to make anyone ill or make a mess on the floor, I asked if I could use the restroom. Wow! I don't think I have ever gotten a look from a professor like the look I got today for asking that! Holy Lord, you would've thought I had asked for his firstborn or something!!!
I can't wear shoes now, at least not today so it looks like I won't be able to go to Kung Fu tonight. That really sucks. Geez, if I had only worn my sneaks this morning!!!
