Once again I will attempt to write my life down and all the odd occurances. Through it all I hope you can find my twisted sense of humor somewhat...humorous.

Long meeting

For those who don't know, I have been in the Navy Reserve for a year now and prior to that I served for five years in active duty. Anyway, this past weekend was my reserve weekend, and I used to dread it because I would just sit around and do nothing. Since joining I have tried to take on more collateral duties so that I could keep myself busy. One of those duties is training of non-prior service personnel. This, along with a few other duties I've acquired, help to make the weekends go a little faster.

I've mentioned all that to say this, on Saturday I had a meeting with some of my cohorts about some training issues. Well the meeting went for about an hour or an hour and a half and I guess I was being fidgety because I kept putting one of my legs up on my other one and then switching them. Well in the process of doing this, while one leg would be on top of the other I was taking my click pen (which I assumed the point was retracted) and kind of tickling my own ankles with it. Granted I know that it sounds weird, but I would do this until my foot fell asleep and then switch feet. Well when I got home, I changed because I was going over to Jenny's. In the process of changing I noticed that the point of the pen had been out and I had several odd swirl shaped drawings ALL OVER my ankles. At first, when I looked down at them, I thought my ankles were black and blue, but upon further inspection I knew what happened. It kind of looked like I had weird tribal tattoos all over my inner ankle.

To add insult to injury, while I was over at Jenny's I took my shoes off, not even thinking about my little "temporary tattoos", and seeing as she is very observant, she noticed the marks on my ankles and said, "What's that?" I explained hoping that she would take pity on me but this was her response, "Bah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha" It was funny though, and eventually I found the strength to laugh with her. : )
