Once again I will attempt to write my life down and all the odd occurances. Through it all I hope you can find my twisted sense of humor somewhat...humorous.

Ok, I got behind on my blogging and now I have a ton of stuff to catch up on.

Wednesday:

Well the 4th of July party was a hit! We had a great time and even though there was a slight sprinkling of rain, we managed to stuff our cake holes and play all sorts of games. In a way I enjoyed having the 4th of July in the middle of the week, because it broke up the monotony. On the other hand I wouldn't have had any objections to having a four day weekend.

Thursday:

On Thursday, Tina, Abby, Jenny, and I went to a concert downtown. There were actually three bands playing. They were; Freebeerandchicken, Tripping Billies, and The Samples. I had a good time and I especially loved the salt potatoes that we bought from the little food stand. Ugggghhhh...butter...*drool*. The four of us then headed over to Java's for something warm to drink as it was a bit frigid outside. While there we met a guy named Kwanaba (I believe that is it) and it turned out that he and I talked for about an hour. Mainly about my time in the Navy and what views we each held on such events as what happened in Kosovo etc... For some reason people have tons of questions when I tell them I was in the military. I guess it is because it isn't something that everyone does anymore. Just a side note to Jenny, Abby, and Tina, I just want to apologize for yapping so long and not talking with all of you. : )

Friday:

Friday, Jenny and I were hoping to do some riding but the weather had different intentions. So we headed out to the stores for some shopping and we also went to see Cats and Dogs. Great movie! I ended up buying some "necessities" for my bike and Jenny got some great stuff at the never-disappointing Target.

Saturday:

Saturday, Jenny and I again were foiled by the weather so we resorted to our best fall back...shopping. We went to the Shifty's snowboard shop and "dah-dah-dah-dah!!!!" 40% off all boards! Woo hooo! We ended up each buying a new board. Wow, I love that I now own a board and don't have to rent any longer. Ohh..how I love the sound of that..40% off. Granted, I much rather have heard "aehh, take whatever you want, they're FREE." now that would be truly great but then again I would have to wake up after hearing it because these are things that are only spoken in dreams! Anyway, Jenny bought a Burton Troop with a great animation graphic on the top and I bought a Burton Canyon that has a funky hand-head-clouds-soundwave graphic on it. Jenny and I then headed over to the movie theater to see "Tomb Raider". Great flick, maybe not a must own, but at any rate it was entertaining. I think Jenny secretly wants to be Laura Croft. If she starts wearing all black spandex outfits, look out! Hee hee. After the movie Jenny and I went back to her apartment and created a paper and bamboo light catcher that we modeled after one we had seen in a local shop. Turned out looking fabulous and now there are plans for more!

Sunday:

Sunday, Jenny and I went to Brueggers for brunch...mmmm...bagels, and then we went to the bike shop to pick up a ergonomic seat for my bike. I found out that I needed a couple of other things, while I was there, as well. After putting my new seat on my bike Jenny and I headed out to the trails for some intense mountain biking. Ok, we walked a couple of times, but I still crossed a stream on my bike! We then biked through the neighborhood across from Jenny's apartment and while over there the smells of BBQ forced us to adjust our course to the grocery store to pick up some chicken to BBQ. Mmmmmm, it was tasty. We then watched "Dude Where's My Car" on DVD. It really surprised me. I knew that it would be kind of funny, but I found myself laughing throughout most of the movie. Does this mean it was a film that is based on comedic genius...Nope, just that I have a tendency to like fart jokes.
